The Bluefield College women’s soccer team ended its season on Nov. 1, falling to the Union Bulldogs, 5-1, in the opening round of the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament.

The Rams’ lone goal came early in the game when senior forward Whitney Browning flicked a ball past Union goalkeeper Kendall Ellington from 20 yards out to take a 1-0 lead at the 14:40 mark.

The Bulldogs bounced back and scored five unanswered goals – including three goals in a span of less than four minutes, beginning at the 21:14 mark.

Union beat the Rams 3-0 in the teams’ first conference game of the season on Sept. 10.

The Rams (4-13-1 overall, 0-10 in AAC) ended the season on a four-game losing streak – dropping their final three regular-season games, and losing to Union in postseason play.
